Vote For Elizabeth Baker

My Bio

I wasn't planning to run for City Council. Like many of us, I was just living my life when I began noticing something wasn't right. The Indian River Lagoon had turned green, and I wanted to understand why. That one question led to another, and before long I found myself attending city meetings, volunteering with a local non-profit to do water and soil testing, requesting public records, and learning how local government really works. Along the way, I met people from every walk of life who were asking many of the same questions I was. They were worried about flooding, sewage spills, overdevelopment, aging infrastructure, government transparency, and whether anyone at City Hall was truly listening. Over the years, I've watched neighbors speak up because they cared about our community. I've spoken up myself. Sometimes that it wasn't easy. Those experiences taught me something important: government works best when it listens to the people it serves. That's what brought me here. I'm not running because I've always wanted to hold public office. I'm running because I believe Titusville deserves a government that is transparent, accountable, and respectful of the people it represents. I don't want to be your leader. I want to be your representative. To me, that's what public service is all about...listening, asking questions, protecting our constitutional rights, being a mindful steward of taxpayer dollars, and making decisions based on what's best for the people who call Titusville home.

My Key Issues

Transparency & Accountability

Trust in local government must be earned. I will advocate for greater transparency, timely and fair access to public records, and an independent forensic audit to ensure taxpayer dollars are being spent responsibly. Residents deserve a government that is open, accountable, and willing to answer tough questions.

Infastructure Before Expansion

Growth should never come at the expense of existing neighborhoods. I support responsible development that is planned, sustainable, and pays its fair share of infrastructure costs. Addressing flooding, maintaining roads and utilities, and protecting property values must come before approving additional expansion.

Constitutional Rights & Representation

Local government exists to serve the people, not the other way around. I will defend constitutional rights, promote open public participation, and ensure every resident has a voice in the decisions that affect our community. My job is not to lead people - it is to listen, ask questions, and faithfully represent them.
